Jo lives and paints in North Devon, painting the loveliness of its coastline and its charming villages.
She studied Fine Art at Jacob Kramer College in Leeds and went on to St Martins briefly and then did a BA in Fine Art at Loughborough College of Art. She completed an MA in Fine Art Painting at Manchester in 1984.
She held a short residency at Manchester City Art Gallery, was Artist in Residence at Durham Cathedral, was the Bartlett Fellow in painting at Newcastle University and held a Painting Residency at the Woodhorn Museum and Art Gallery, Northumberland.
She has been a part time lecturer. She still enjoys teaching painting and has felt privileged to have met many gifted students.
She has shown her work both in the UK and abroad and has work in regional UK and US collections.
